A Realtime Monitoring Station at the Sheriff's Office of surveillance cameras mounted in critical areas of rural Dyer County.
This program will identify all current surveillance systems that are currently in place in the Farm Watch Security Zone, have owners to register their systems with the Farm Watch Program, existing cameras in strategic locations should be connected to the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center for 24 hour monitoring and recording.
Covert cameras and ALPR systems maybe used also, additional cameras may be installed with funding to the Farm Watch Program, from donations from sponsor partners, grants, etc.
The on site monitoring connected to DCSO will be used as a predictive policing tool. Over 70% of law enforcement agencies are exploring predictive policing – defined as advanced information and technology – to predict and prevent crime. 90% plan to increase its use over the next five years.
